CGS 2007 Summer Institute in Geriatrics
The 2007 Summer Institute in Geriatrics, sponsored by the CGS, was a resounding success. Students from almost every Canadian Medical School from sea to sea came to Vancouver from July 1–6. They learned about Geriatrics as a career, and met practitioners in Geriatric Medicine, Psychiatry and Care of the
Elderly. They were also able to interact with seniors and did visits to
sites around Greater Vancouver. The week ended on a high note with a
social trip and networking on Bowen Island at Dr. Lynn Beattie's
beautiful house overlooking the Georgia Strait. We anticipate this will
help spread the word on Geriatrics!"
